Harmonies

Oregonlake_edited-2

(the sky, mountains, trees, lake, reflections - all harmonizing together to make one amazing view....so glad I was there to enjoy and capture it. Oregon)

Summing it all up, friends,

I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds

and meditating on things true, noble,

reputable, authentic, compelling,

gracious—the best, not the worst;

the beautiful, not the ugly;

things to praise, not things to curse.

Put into practice what you learned from me,

what you heard and saw and realized.

Do that, and God, who makes everything work together,

will work you into his most excellent harmonies.

Philippians 4:8-9 - The Message

Not so with you

Bullpoppies_edited-1

(one of those once in a lifetime  drive-by shot. Just happened to have my camera with me. Cars were pulled over and people just watching. A great big proud black bull in a field of poppies. )

But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. Luke 22

Heart

Heartcandle

"Retire frequently with Him

into the inner chamber of the heart,

where the gentle voice of the Spirit

is heard if all be still."  (Abide in Christ - Andrew Murray)

My soul wait in silence for God only,

for my hope is from Him. Psalm 62

Indispensable

Indipensable

"...so Jesus loves Thee.

His life is bound up in thine;

thou art to Him inexpressibly more

indispensable and precious

than thou ever can know.

Thou art one with Himself..

'as the Father has loved me,

so have I loved you..'"..(John 15)

What a love.

(Abide in Christ - Andrew Murray)

Balance

Balancesmall

Balance...not always attainable, huh?....

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

who comforts us in all our affliction

so that we may be able to comfort

those who are in any affliction with the comfort

with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance

so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.

2 Corinthians 1
