Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon CO River
My first visit to the Grand Canyon The Colorado River below

Surely The Creator had His own Heavenly

adjectives to describe this magnificent event.

Any I could come up with wouldn't do it justice.

Breathtaking would describe one of my emotions.

After seeing pictures of this for so many years,

to actually see it for myself was

a day I will never forget.

And since I took 477 pictures today

(not all Grand Canyon),

I'll have plenty to remind me of it.

I"ll share more in the days to come.

Making my way home.

He was raised

He was raised
Ruiru Baptist Church, Kenya

For I delivered to you as of first importance

what I also received, that Christ died for our sins

according to the Scriptures,

and that He was buried,

and that He was raised on the third day

according to the Scriptures...

1 Corinthians 15

by His wounds

ByHiswounds2

and He Himself bore our sins

in His body

on the cross,

that we might die to sin

and

live in righteousness

for

by His wounds you were healed.

for you were continually straying like sheep,

but now you have returned to the Shepherd

and

Guardian of your souls.

1 Peter 2

Do you even get how beautiful and important

this truth is for you?

Ponder it in relation to where you are now.

Peace be with you

Peace be with you

That Sunday evening the disciples

were meeting behind locked doors

because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders.

Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them!

“Peace be with you,”

he said. As he spoke, he showed them the

wounds in his hands and his side.

They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord!

John 20:19-20

Good cause for Easter Celebrations!

Be on the alert...

Alert
Harvey, Sandy and Benji on alert against the big bad bulldog on the other side of the fence.

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and

in his mighty power.

Put on all of God’s armor

so that you will be able to stand firm

against all strategies of the devil.

For we are not fighting against

flesh-and-blood enemies,

but against evil rulers and authorities

of the unseen world, against mighty powers

in this dark world, and against evil spirits

in the heavenly places.

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor

so you will be able to resist the enemy

in the time of evil.

Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth

and the body armor of God’s righteousness.

For shoes, put on the peace that comes

from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.

In addition to all of these,

hold up the shield of faith to stop the

fiery arrows of the devil.

Put on salvation as your helmet,

and take the sword of the Spirit,

which is the word of God.

Pray in the Spirit at all times

and on every occasion.

Stay alert and be persistent

in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

This is love

Peacock
Peacock, Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle

Love is patient and kind.

Love is not jealous or boastful

or proud or rude.

It does not demand its own way.

It is not irritable, and it keeps no record

of being wronged.

It does not rejoice about injustice

but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

 Love never gives up,

never loses faith,

is always hopeful,

and endures through every circumstance.

1 Corinthians 13

He hears me

Khloejump

How many times do we say, "Nobody is listening to me. Nobody 'hears' me."

That's not exactly true.

"I love the Lord because

He hears my voice and my supplications.

Because He has inclined (leaned toward) His ear to me.

I will call upon Him as long as I live." (Psalm 116)

Why wouldn't you want to call upon Him

as long as you live?

He is actually leaning down to hear us.

He's always ready to listen.

Never too busy or distracted with other matters.

No indifference here. He is leaning down

to listen to us.

That picture is amazing.

I don't really need anyone else's ears as long

as I have His.

And apparently I do.

I wanted to reach over and brush his hair out of his eyes. Poor guy. Anyone know what these are called?

Day2longhornbrown
What was that, Big Guy? You don't like your picture taken? Just 20 more and I'll go.

To stand on top of the hills and look out at all the land they fought on and try to imagine what it was like. I should get the book and read about it. Not sure how I feel about Custer.

Abandon

No one but Jesus

If a man knows what it is to love Jesus,

and to disregard himself for the sake of Jesus,

then he is really blessed.

We have to abandon all we love for the one we love,

for Jesus wants us to love Him only above all other things.

The love of creatures is fickle and unreliable,

but the love of Jesus is trustworthy and enduring.

The man who clings to created things will fall with them when they fall,

but a man who embraces Jesus will be upheld for ever.

  It is Jesus whom you must love and keep to be your friend;

when all else fades away, He will not leave you,

nor let you perish at the end.

Whether you will or no, you must one day leave everything behind.

Keep yourself close to Jesus in life as well as death;

commit yourself to His faithfulness,

for He only can help you when everything else will fail.”

Good-bye Winter

Goodbyewinter

My beloved spoke and said to me,
   “Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me.
 See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
 Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
   is heard in our land.
The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.”

Song of Songs 2

this good Word, a "light to my path"

for my journey....hoping to see lots

of April and May flowers

and green hills

and of course

sunshine!
