not only that...

“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,” Romans 5

not only what?.....that we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..we have obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

not only that...well, you get the message....

Seek the LORD your God

Flowerswindow
"But from there you will seek the LORD your God
and you will find Him, IF you search after
Him with all your heart and with all your soul."
Deuteronomy 4
"but from there..."...where was there?  a place where
the Israelites were serving gods of wood and stone,
the work of human hands...they were scattered
and utterly destroyed (vs. 26-28)
wherever your "there" is,
you can seek the LORD...just do it with
all your heart and with all your soul.
"When you are in tribulation,
and all these things come upon you
in the latter days, you will return to the
LORD your God and obey His voice.
For the LORD your God is a merciful God.
He will not leave you or destroy you or
forget the covenant with your fathers
that He swore to them." (vs.30-31)

In His Hand is the life of every living thing

Redbarn_edited-2
“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
    the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you;
    and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who among all these does not know
    that the hand of the Lord has done this?
10 In his hand is the life of every living thing
    and the breath of all mankind.
Job 12

for the love of God

North Rim LoveofGod

"for the love of God" do something!

heard that before? are you willing?

"for the Love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for Him who for their sake died and was raised."  2 Corinthians 5

But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.  Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ. Philippians 3

I press on to make it my own,

because Christ has made me his own. Phil. 3

when the motive is pure the way forward is easy..
