Ascension joy

Khloesnowportrait
"Ascension joy - inwardly we must become very quiet
to hear the soft sound of this phrase at all.
Joy lives in its quietness and incomprehensibility.
This joy is in fact incomprehensible,
for the comprehensible never makes for joy."
GOD is in the Manger - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

said the little lamb to the shepherd boy...

Caden snow

"Do You Hear What I Hear?" is aChristmas song written in October 1962 with lyrics by Noël Regney and music by Gloria Shayne. The pair were married at the time, and wrote it as a plea for peace during the Cuban Missile Crisis. It has sold tens of millions of copies and has been covered by hundreds of artists. The song describes how word of the birth of the baby Jesus is relayed to higher upon ever higher authority. The message originates with the Night Wind, which whispers it to a small lamb. The lamb reports the message to his shepherd, who in turn conveys the news to the king. The king eventually spreads the message to the "people everywhere."

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Said the night wind to the little lamb,
"Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, little lamb,
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite,
With a tail as big as a kite."

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy,
"Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy,
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song high above the trees
With a voice as big as the the sea,
With a voice as big as the the sea."

Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king,
"Do you know what I know?
In your palace warm, mighty king,
Do you know what I know?
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold--
Let us bring him silver and gold,
Let us bring him silver and gold."

Said the king to the people everywhere,
"Listen to what I say!
Pray for peace, people, everywhere,
Listen to what I say!
The Child, the Child sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light,
He will bring us goodness and light."

“I’m telling you these things while
I’m still living with you.
The Friend, the Holy Spirit
whom the Father will send at my request,
will make everything plain to you.
He will remind you of all the things
I have told you. I’m leaving you well and whole.
That’s my parting gift to you. Peace.
I don’t leave you the way you’re used
to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft.
So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.

Christmas is coming

Christmas is coming
Advent can be celebrated only by
those whose souls give them no peace,
who know that they are poor and incomplete,
and who sense something of the greatness
that is supposed to come, before which
they can only bow in humble timidity,
waiting until he inclines himself toward us-
the Holy One Himself,
God in the child in the manger.
God is coming;
the Lord Jesus is coming;
Christmas is coming.
Rejoice, O Christendom.
God in the Manger by Dietrich Bonhoffer

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

and he shall reign over the house of

Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom

there shall be no end. Luke 1

the last Advent...

Kenya Nataivity edited
The Advent season is a season of waiting, but our whole life is an Advent season, that is, a season of waiting for the last Advent, for the time when there will be a new heaven and a new earth.
"..see, I am making all things new."

Joy to the world

Joy to the world

that the proof of your faith,

being more precious than gold that perisheth

though it is proved by fire,

may be found unto praise and glory and honor

at the revelation of Jesus Christ:

 whom not having seen ye love;

on whom, though now ye see him not,

yet believing, ye rejoice greatly with

joy unspeakable and full of glory

Do not let your hearts be troubled

(distressed, agitated).

You believe in and adhere to and trust in

and rely on God; believe in and adhere to

and trust in and rely also on Me.

In My Father’s house there are many

dwelling places (homes). If it were not so,

I would have told you; for I am going away

to prepare a place for you.

my prayer for you...

“For this reason we also,
from the day we heard of it,
have not ceased to pray and make [
special] request for you, [asking]
that you may be filled with the full
(deep and clear) knowledge of His will
in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive
insight into the ways and purposes of God]
and in understanding and discernment
of spiritual things—” Colossians 1

ANNUAL ABORTION STATISTICS

  1. Over 54 million unborn babies have been lost to abortion since 1973 (the year abortion was legalized in the US).

  2. Published in 2012, the most recent statistics show the CDC reported a total of 825,564 abortions (self-reported data from central health agencies of 45 states). The Guttmacher Institute (Planned Parenthood’s research arm) reported a total of 1,212,400 based on data from direct surveys of abortionists.

  3. The CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report lists that 46.1 percent of all abortions were performed on women who had at least one previous abortion.

  4. Approximately 3,200 babies die every day from abortions.

  5. Every 23 seconds a baby is killed by abortion in the US.

  6. Based on Planned Parenthood’s own annual report, it has performed over 329,445 abortions, accounting for about 27% of all American abortions. It works out that Planned Parenthood performs an abortion every 96 seconds. (For more stats from the 2009-2010 Planned Parenthood Annual Report, click here .
